Think iPod

The people over at Think iPod wanted to create an innovative site with news, product reviews, and special information regarding the iPod and iPod accessories. By combining the power of WordPress blog software, RSS news aggregation, and accessibility design techniques, BMC has created a truly unique website with all the bells and whistles needed for a large-scale web presence.
While most of the design schematics were left up to us, one of the main requests was that the site somehow resemble an iPod, or have an iPod as part of the user interface. To accomplish this, we created an iPod-shaped main menu, complete with access keys and access indicators for accessiblity. RSS news aggregation scripting was also used to display iPod-related news and articles within the content structure.
The main idea behind the site is to be a source for iPod related news, reviews, and technical information for fans of the popular portable devices, as well as to generate extensive organic traffic, and to allow the owners to publish their own articles, complete with dynamically generated RSS feeds. Along with this goes extensive search engine optimization and findability optimization that was integrated into the site.
